Glazing Options

There are a number of different options for glazing an oak building. We have a range of standard joinery as well as offering bespoke window and door sizes. All our joinery uses quality multi locking systems. For fully glazed buildings such as garden rooms, orangeries and conservatories we can offer any of the usual glazing systems although our preferred option is for infill joinery as we believe this option is the best quality at the right price. The options are. • Infill Joinery • Face Glazing • Rebated Glazing Infill Glazing Infill glazing is easy to install and easy to keep watertight. It’s easier to maintain than other systems and easier to replace panes of glass if they get broken or fail in any other way.

Face Glazing Face glazing involves an internal oak frame with external oak boards over glazed on the outside face. This method is very watertight but does tend to be the most expensive and does create problems if ever a glass unit needs to be replaced.

Rebated Glazing Rebated glazing involves cutting a rebate to the main frame itself and fixing double glazed units to the frame. This is probably the cheapest option but can be prone to leaks if the frame moves excessively.
